English 104 Blog Project

Gary Levox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay Demarcus make up the trio that are famously called Rascal Flatts.

County music has always been my favorite music genre and when I came across the band Rascal Flatts many years ago, I knew that they were going to be my favorite by far.

This band released their first album appropriately titled, Rascal Flatts in 2000 and have been climbing their way up the ladder of fame ever since (Rascal Flatts). They are about to release their 9th CD sometime this upcoming June called Rewind.

They have reached great success and come a long way in the roughly 14 years that they have called themselves a band.

Rascal Flatts have written over 30 songs that have been released on all of their albums combined. I can safely say that i know every word to every song, no matter how many times I hear them they will never get old.

The top five songs are (Top 10):

  1. ‘Bless the Broken Road’
  2. ‘What Hurts the Most’
  3. ‘My Wish’
  4. ‘I Melt’
  5. ‘Here Comes Goodbye’

All of these songs are well known in the country genre and many people play most of them at weddings and other special events.  My favorite song written by Rascal Flatts is ‘Bless the Broken Road’ and it also fittingly made the list of Top 100 county songs of all-time.

Attached is the official music video for the song Bless the Broken Road:

I feel that the band Rascal Flatts have been so popular because they are very relatable. Many people love listening to the music that they create. I like the fact that they come out with new music often, that way people are able to follow them a keep the suspension of new music high. They also go on tour every year and will be performing at Klipsch Music center in Noblesville, IN this summer. Look for them to come to a stage near you!

Feel free to comment about what Rascal Flatts song you like!
